Two direct apps with different ranges
Temu and Hacoo both let you buy goods shipped from China without an agent. The difference most shoppers notice first is range: Temu sells almost everything, from phone accessories to kitchen tools, while Hacoo leans on fashion and lifestyle. The second is access: Temu has a website as well as an app, while Hacoo checks out only in its app.
| Question | Temu | Hacoo |
|---|---|---|
| Agent needed | No | No |
| Website checkout | Yes | No |
| Main range | Very broad | Fashion-led |
| Returns | Temu's own process | 15 days after delivery |
| EU duty since 1 Jul 2026 | €3 per item category | €3 per item category |
Broad catalogue and a website versus a fashion app; same tax rules.
What Temu lists contain
Autocomplete for "temu spreadsheet" suggests men, clothes, shoes, Reddit, free and "2025 pdf". That tells you how these lists are used: men's basics and shoe picks, shared as free downloadable files and discussed on Reddit. The structure is the same as Hacoo lists, so the same checks apply: dates, a five-link test and real buyer photos. Our Hacoo links guide describes the test, and the PDF page explains why downloaded files age fastest.
Free PDFs are snapshots; test before you trust.
Men's clothes and shoes on either app
For menswear, measure rather than trust letter sizes; many sellers on both apps size for Asian measurements. For shoes, use foot length in centimetres and read comments on width. Our men's and shoe pages walk through the method. Neither Temu nor Hacoo shows your actual item before it ships, so photograph items on arrival and act inside the return window.
Centimetres first on both apps.
Returns: read before you order
Hacoo's policy: 15 days after delivery, items unworn and tagged, free return postage for faulty or wrong items, buyer-paid postage for change of mind, refunds in 5–7 working days to PayPal or 8–15 to a card after approval. Temu runs its own process with its own terms. Because policies change, check both on the day you order rather than relying on a list's notes. Our Hacoo returns page has the steps.
Know the return terms before the parcel arrives.
EU tax and Temu-style parcels
The EU's flat €3 customs duty, in force since 1 July 2026, applies per item category on low-value IOSS parcels, alongside VAT. It was designed with exactly this kind of low-value e-commerce in mind and applies to Temu, Hacoo and others alike. Our Germany, Spain and Poland pages show the rates.
Same duty whichever app you choose.
When neither app fits
If you want to see your actual item before it ships, or combine many sellers in one parcel, an agent buying from Taobao or Weidian is the route; see Hacoo vs agents and the status list. Our WhatsApp service quotes one delivered price and sends photos before dispatch.
Apps for convenience, agents for inspection.
Spotting the same product on Temu and Hacoo
Because both apps draw on Chinese suppliers, the same item sometimes appears on each. Product photos can be identical. When you find a match, compare the details that sellers change: material percentages, size chart numbers, colour names and the number of buyer photos. Then compare the full checkout totals and the return terms. If the item is also on Taobao or Weidian, a third option opens: buying it through an agent with photos before shipping. Our image-search guide works for Temu products as well as Hacoo ones.
Identical photos don't guarantee identical products.
A note on very cheap items
Very low prices make it tempting to add small extras. Remember that the EU's €3 duty is per item category: adding a different kind of item to a low-value parcel can add another €3, which may exceed the item's own price.
Cheap extras can cost more than they look in the EU.
Both apps reward patience: comparing for a minute usually saves more than any discount code.
Patience also helps with delivery: plan Temu and Hacoo orders a month ahead of when you need them.
Temu questions from Hacoo shoppers
Is Temu like Hacoo?
Both are direct-buy apps selling goods shipped from China, so neither needs a shopping agent. Temu sells a very broad range, from clothing to household items, and has a website as well as an app. Hacoo is app-only and more fashion-focused. Each has its own returns process; Hacoo's is a 15-day window after delivery.
What's in a Temu men's spreadsheet?
Mostly basics and casual wear: T-shirts, hoodies, cargo trousers, tracksuits and trainers, plus accessories. Google autocomplete for 'temu spreadsheet' suggests men, clothes, shoes, Reddit, free and '2025 pdf'. The categories mirror Hacoo men's lists, so the same measuring routine applies: compare chest and length in centimetres with a garment you own.
Are free Temu PDF spreadsheets worth downloading?
Treat them like any old list. A PDF is frozen on the day it was made, so dead links accumulate, and files from strangers can carry risky links. Prefer a view-only online sheet, never enable macros or install anything a file asks for, and test five random links before relying on any list.
Which has better returns, Temu or Hacoo?
They work differently, and terms can change, so read each platform's current policy before ordering. Hacoo's policy gives 15 days after delivery, with Hacoo paying return postage for faulty or wrong items and the buyer paying for change-of-mind returns. Whichever app you use, photograph items on arrival and act early.
Do Temu orders pay EU import duty?
Yes, under the same rules as Hacoo. Since 1 July 2026 the EU charges a flat €3 customs duty per item category on low-value parcels sent under the IOSS scheme, plus VAT from the first euro. Large platforms typically collect VAT at checkout. Ten identical T-shirts count as one category; a T-shirt and a cap count as two.
