Who should move from Hacoo to KakoBuy, and who shouldn't
- Move if you buy several items at a time, care about seeing your item before it ships, or have been caught by sizing on Hacoo before.
- Move if you want to mix sellers from Taobao, Weidian and 1688 in one parcel.
- Stay on Hacoo if you mostly buy one or two light pieces and value a single payment and doorstep returns over photos.
KakoBuy is one of the most searched agents of 2026 and was open when we checked on 5 October, after a short outage in mid-August that set off shutdown rumours. It is a buyer for hire rather than a shop: you point it at a marketplace listing, it buys and receives the item, and you decide when and how to ship.
KakoBuy suits multi-item, size-sensitive orders; Hacoo still wins for the occasional single piece.

Getting a Hacoo find into KakoBuy
KakoBuy links look like kakobuy.com/item/details?url= followed by the encoded marketplace address. That design is useful: any Taobao, Weidian or 1688 link can be turned into a KakoBuy link, and any KakoBuy link can be turned back into the marketplace address if KakoBuy ever goes down. What it can't wrap is a Hacoo link. The route is: save the Hacoo photo, find the same listing by image search, then paste the marketplace address into our converter or into KakoBuy's search box. The Hacoo-to-agent guide covers how to tell a true match from a lookalike.
Find it on a marketplace first; KakoBuy's link format does the rest.
What you see before anything ships
This is the main reason to switch. Hacoo sends your parcel without showing you your item; your first look is at your front door, with 15 days to start a return. KakoBuy photographs each item when it reaches the warehouse, usually within a day according to rep.tools, and those photos are where you check size labels, colour, stitching and measurements. If something is wrong, an exchange with the seller happens inside China, which is far cheaper than posting a parcel back from Europe. Ask for extra angles when a detail matters; the small cost is worth it on shoes and jackets.
Your checking point moves from your doorstep to the warehouse.
Paying KakoBuy without leaving money behind
KakoBuy accepts PayPal, cards, crypto and, per user reports, Wise transfers. The habit that matters more than the method: pay each order as you place it and leave no money in the wallet. When agents close, as CNFans did in August 2026, money sitting in a wallet is the hardest thing to recover. PayPal costs a little more per payment but gives you a dispute route.
Pay per order, prefer methods with buyer protection, leave no money in the wallet.
Mistakes Hacoo shoppers make on their first KakoBuy order
- Expecting one payment. You pay for items now and shipping later; budget for both. Our calculator helps.
- Shipping too soon. With 100 free days, wait until the haul is complete; one parcel costs less than three.
- Skipping the photos. They are the whole point; look before you approve shipping.
- Ignoring the tax line. EU parcels face VAT from the first euro and, since 1 July 2026, a €3 duty per item category on low-value IOSS parcels. Pick a duty-paid line if you'd rather pay upfront; see Germany or Spain.
Compare KakoBuy with the other open agents on our status list, or keep it simple with our WhatsApp service, which quotes one delivered price per order.
Budget for two payments, consolidate, and read every photo.
KakoBuy questions from Hacoo shoppers
Can KakoBuy open a link I copied from Hacoo?
No. KakoBuy buys from marketplaces such as Taobao, Weidian and 1688, and its product links wrap a marketplace address in the form kakobuy.com/item/details?url=. A Hacoo share link points inside Hacoo's own app instead. Find the same item on a marketplace first, then paste that address into KakoBuy or into our converter, which builds the KakoBuy link for you.
Did KakoBuy shut down in August 2026?
No. The site went offline briefly in mid-August 2026, which started shutdown rumours, but the rep.tools status board found it operating normally again on 31 August, and Trustpilot shows new reviews up to 5 October 2026. Its score there was 4.2 from 310 reviews on that date. Pay per order anyway, as you would with any agent.
How long does KakoBuy keep items for free?
The rep.tools directory lists 100 days of free storage, with a reminder around day 90 and a charge of ¥20 per extra 100 days after that, as last checked on 1 July 2026. For someone used to Hacoo, that means you can wait for slow sellers and ship everything together, which is where the agent route saves money.
Is KakoBuy cheaper than ordering in the Hacoo app?
For one light item, usually not: Hacoo's single checkout includes shipping, while an agent parcel has its own line charges. For several items, KakoBuy can be cheaper because one parcel carries the whole haul. KakoBuy shows any service fee per item at checkout rather than publishing a fixed rate, so price your actual order in our calculator.
Which payment methods does KakoBuy take?
The rep.tools directory lists PayPal, which it notes costs 2.9% plus $0.30, cryptocurrencies such as USDT, BTC and ETH, cards, and Wise transfers reported by users, as of 1 July 2026. Methods can vary by country. Whatever you use, pay for each order as you place it and don't leave money in the agent wallet.
