PinguBuy has gone quiet since April: what that signals and how Hacoo shoppers should treat its rows

Last updated .

Short answer: We list PinguBuy as hold on 5 October 2026. Its site and help centre load, but its Trustpilot profile has had no new review since 4 April 2026 (45 reviews, 3.6 average), and it isn't on the rep.tools status board. A directory reports 90 days of storage, 3–5 photos, PayPal and cards, and names Bo Rui E-commerce Co Limited in Hong Kong. Silence isn't closure, but it's a reason not to send new money until activity resumes.

These product photos come from repbuysheet.com, which has 10,000+ products to choose from. Tap any photo for its page on repbuysheet.com with prices and more pictures; the set rotates on the first of every month.

Quiet is a signal too

Agent closures rarely come with a press release. More often the signs are gradual: fewer posts, slower replies, then silence. PinguBuy's site still loads, which is why we don't call it closed. But its Trustpilot profile, claimed in May 2025, has had no new review since 4 April 2026, when the last one was a single star. Agents with active customers collect reviews steadily, even small ones. Six months of nothing is unusual enough that we've put PinguBuy on hold.

What to do with PinguBuy rows

Spreadsheet rows in PinguBuy's format still point at real marketplace items. You don't need PinguBuy to buy them.

  1. Copy the row's link into our converter.
  2. If it extracts a Taobao, Weidian or 1688 address, open it through an agent marked open on our status list.
  3. If not, use the row's photo and an image search, as in the Hacoo-to-agent guide.
  4. Check the listing still matches the photo before paying.

The items are portable; there's no need to wait for PinguBuy.

If you already have an order with PinguBuy

Ask support for a status update in writing and set a date. Keep screenshots of the order, payment and any warehouse photos. If nothing moves and you paid by PayPal or card, use your provider's dispute process within its time limit. Don't send further payments to unlock or ship items until you have a clear answer.

Get it in writing, keep records, use your payment provider if needed.

The lesson for Hacoo shoppers

Hacoo's model never leaves your money waiting: you pay, it ships. Agents hold items, and sometimes money, in a warehouse for weeks. That's what makes photos and consolidation possible, and it's also the exposure when an agent goes quiet. The defence is simple: choose agents with recent, steady public activity, pay per order, and never leave money in an agent wallet. Our Hacoo vs agents page sets out the trade-off, and the calculator helps decide when it's worth it.

Pick active agents; pay per order; never store money.

North American buyers

PinguBuy's searches come mostly from the US (about 2,900 a month), Canada and the UK (about 1,600 each), in the keyword data we use. US buyers face duties on low-value parcels since duty-free entry was suspended on 29 August 2025, so a duty-paid line is worth choosing with whichever agent replaces PinguBuy. Our New York page explains the change, and our WhatsApp service quotes delivered prices if you'd rather skip agents for now.

Switch to an open agent and a duty-paid line.

When we'd lift the hold

Fresh reviews describing normal orders over several weeks, or a reachable support team answering clearly, would move PinguBuy back to open. A closure notice or a dead website would move it to closed. Check the date at the top of this page before relying on it.

Recent activity is what lifts a hold.

If you do contact PinguBuy, note how long the reply takes; a slow or missing answer is useful information in itself.

Meanwhile, rows in PinguBuy's format can be bought through any open agent today, so there's no reason to wait to see whether PinguBuy becomes active again.

For US and Canadian buyers who relied on PinguBuy, choosing an open agent with a duty-paid line is the simplest replacement. Compare two or three on our status list, test one with a small order, and keep paying per order so that any future slowdown at that agent costs you little or nothing.

PinguBuy questions

Has PinguBuy shut down?

We found no closure notice. Its website and help centre loaded in our checks, but its Trustpilot profile has had no new review since a one-star review on 4 April 2026, and the rep.tools status board doesn't list it. Six months without public feedback is unusual for an active agent, so we mark it hold: not closed, but not a place for new money.

What do PinguBuy's terms say?

According to the w2cspreadsheet directory, PinguBuy doesn't disclose a service fee, offers 90 days of free storage plus 30 after you submit a shipment, takes 3–5 free QC photos and accepts PayPal and cards. The directory gives 2025 as its starting year and lists iOS and Android apps. We couldn't confirm these on PinguBuy's own pages.

Who runs PinguBuy?

The directory names Bo Rui E-commerce Co Limited, located in Tai Kok Tsui, Hong Kong. Having a named company helps if you need to raise a dispute, but it doesn't tell you whether the business is active. For that, recent public evidence matters more, and in PinguBuy's case there has been very little of it since April 2026.

I have PinguBuy rows in my spreadsheet. Are they useless?

No. Each row points at a Taobao, Weidian or 1688 listing, which any open agent can buy. Paste the row into our converter to extract the marketplace address and get links for agents marked open. If the link format isn't readable, use the photo and an image search, the same method we describe for Hacoo items.

Where is PinguBuy used?

Mostly in North America and the UK, according to the keyword dataset we use: about 2,900 monthly searches in the US and 1,600 each in Canada and the UK. US buyers in particular should note that duty-free entry for low-value parcels was suspended on 29 August 2025, so whichever agent they use, a duty-paid line avoids surprise charges.
